OBJECTIVES

The objectives for which this Trust is established are:

  1. To augment support to needy students to carry out research in the field of weather, climate and environment for the benefit of the society. Those students registered for their Ph.D. and M.Tech degrees in Universities or Institutes of Higher Education (IHE) who need financial support to complete their degrees can be supported by the decision of the designated expert committee.
  2. To develop capacity through specific educational programmes related to weather, climate and environment in Universities, affiliated colleges and IHE based on their requirements. These programmes should benefit the teachers and students in acquiring knowledge related to weather, climate and environment.
  3. To support seminars, workshops and conferences for teachers and students of colleges and schools on topics related to weather, climate and environment in order to enhance the knowledge of the participants.
  4. To support organising awareness programmes related to climate change and environment for the benefit of the citizens at large in cooperation with established organizations and societies.
  5. To form a group of volunteers to support and execute educational and training programmes for various purposes related to climate change and sustainable development.
  6. To create awareness for environment & educate the people for preservation of our environment.
  7. To print, publish, journals, magazines, periodicals, books, papers, news papers pamphlets and advertisements, reports lectures and other reading materials and pictorial matters for the diffusion of useful knowledge and all other mass, contact programme like audio and audio-visuals, video cassettes or CDs etc.
  8. To invest funds and help investment of any funds in the modes of investments from time to time which is in terms of Income Tax Act, 1961 or any other law for the time being in force and subsequent amendments thereof from time to time.
  9. All the activities of the Trust shall be non-profitable and shall be conducted on “No Profit – No loss basis”.
  10. The objects of the Trust are for charitable purpose without distinction of cast, creed, colour or sex (gender) and as per rules regulations of the Government of India.
