ABOUT FERCC
The Foundation for Education and Research in Climate Change (FERCC) is a Charitable Trust registered with the main objective of capacity building through dissemination and promotion of education and research in the fields related to weather and climate. All the activities of the Trust are non-profitable and are being conducted on “No Profit – No loss basis”. It is well known that Weather and Climate as a scientific subject is interdisciplinary in nature and the issue of climate change is complex which concerns all sections of humanity and ecosystem. FERCC aims at a wide spectrum of education ranging from the schools to higher education and research by providing academic support. Currently, early career researchers in need of financial support to complete their higher education are fostered through the ‘FERCC Fellowship’. Important events are being organized in various platforms to make school teachers and students climate literate. Teachers will be trained to spread climate science through seminars, workshops, conferences, awareness programs etc. in weather, climate and environmental issues. Collaboration with other scientific societies is one of the key factors in carrying out the objectives of FERCC. Efforts will be made to mobilize volunteers for special drives in societal matters by participatory manner.
